The Father Creator

Many of the Christian churches teach that that Jesus Christ was the Creator and is also the sustainer. My study of God's word reveals that the Father, named "Jehovah" in the Old Testament was the Creator and is for sure the Sustainer of all existence, this earth, the heavens, the angels and us, He also sustains Satan. Christ was not absent from this process of creation but was at His Father's side while learning from His God and Father, "When He prepared the heavens, I was there; when He set a circle on the face of the deep, when He set the clouds above; when He made the strong fountains of the deep; when He gave the sea its limit, that the water should not go beyond his commands; when He decreed the foundations of the earth, then I was at His side, (as one brought up KJV); and I was His delight day by day, rejoicing before Him at every time." (Proverbs 8:27-30). This is God's Son speaking, Christ's own words; His Father was the one doing the work, Jehovah is the "He", "His" and "Him" in these verses. There is one other element revealed in Proverbs 8: where I substituted "as one brought up" for the JP Green translation, #525 "amown" in the sense of training; skilled, i.e. an architect [like 542]: one brought up. It seems that the "sense of training" part was ignored in both translation, then Jesus confirms this: "Then Jesus said to them, When you lift up the Son of man, then you will know that I am; and from Myself I do nothing; but as My Father taught Me, these things I speak." (John 8:28).

This becomes argumentative with Trinitarians because of their belief that Jesus is God, along with the Father and this added holy spirit person, which cannot be correct, however that is not the object of this paper. There are non-Trinity believers who contend that Jesus, the Son of God was the Creator because the common Bibles states that all creation was done "through" Jesus, and for Jesus. That is what the translators chose to use from the assortment of English words given for #1223 ("dia"). But what would be consistent throughout the Old Testament and the New Testament alike? My study of God's word shows that "through" is outside of what is overwhelmingly consistent from Genesis to Revelation. For the sake of this paper, please discard the Trinity concept and focus on who is the Creator of the heavens and earth, according to God's word. Endless O.T. verses name "Jehovah" as God, who is the Father, "And Jehovah God formed man out of the dust from the ground, and blew into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." (Genesis 2:7), and the Creator:

Genesis 2:4 "These are the births of the heavens and of the earth when they

were created in the day that Jehovah was making the earth and the heavens."

Genesis 6:7 "And Jehovah said, I will wipe off man whom I've created from

the face of  the earth, from man to beast, to creeping things, and to the birds of the

heavens; for I repent that I made them."

Exodus 4:11 "And Jehovah said to him, Who has made the mouth of man? Or

who makes  one dumb, or deaf, or seeing or, one blind? Is it not I, Jehovah?"

Nehemiah 9:6 "You alone are He, O Jehovah; You have made the heavens

and the heavens of the heavens, and all their host; the earth and all which

is on it; the seas and all that are in them; and You shall preserve them

    all alive..."

The total is over a hundred, can one justify discarding all these verses and rely on one or two verses that only indicate, God worked through His Son to make all that has been created? But lets not ignore the verses in the New Testament verses:

Mark 10:6 "But from the beginning of creation God made them male

     and female."

Hebrews 4:10 "For He entered into His rest, He, Himself also rested from

His works  as God had done from His own." (this is a clear statement that

Jesus the "He" and "Himself" is someone other then the Creator, because

Christ also rested like the One who rested at the end of the first six days

of creation, the Creator who sanctified the seventh day Sabbath, which

is plainly stated to be Jehovah, God, in the Hebrew text, Exodus 20:8-11).

Acts 7:49,50 "Heaven is My throne and the earth a footstool of My feet;

what house will you build Me, says the Lord (Jehovah); or what the place

of My rest? Did not My hands make all these things?" (A quote from

     Isaiah 66:1,2)

Acts 17:24 "The God who made the world and all thing in it, this One being

Lord of heaven and of earth, does not dwell in handmade temples."

(Speaking of the temple that was made for the name of Jehovah).

I Timothy 6:13 "I charge you before God, He making all things alive, and

Jesus Christ, He, witnessing the good confession to Pontius Pilate."

Hebrews 2:7 "You made Him a little less then the angels; You crowned

Him with glory and honor; and You set Him over the works of Your

hands." ("You" and "Your" in this verse is Jehovah, the Creator, "Him"

is Jesus, the Son of God.).

Hebrews 3:4 "For every house is built by someone, but He who built all

things is God."(God's name is not rendered in the Greek, this is

     "Jehovah" Old Testament).

Revelation 3:14"And to the angel of the church of Laodicea, write: These

things says the amen, the faithful and true Witness, the Head of the

     creation of God."

Revelation 14:7 "...Fear God and give glory to Him, because the hour of

His judgment has come; also worship Him who has made the heavens

and the earth and the sea and the fountains of water." (A quote

     from Ex. 20:11).

Revelation 21:5 "And the One sitting on the throne said, behold, I make

all things new. and He says to me, Write, because these things are

faithful and true." (There is only one who sits on the throne, Christ

sits to the right, Hebrews 8:1 and 12:2).

There is one additional point that needs to be considered: The Son of God, by His inheritance from the Father, has all Jehovah's very same qualities, abilities and power that His Father Jehovah has, lacking only His Father's supreme and sovereign authority, because Jehovah has always been from all eternity, with no beginning or ending, which is the meaning that eternity states. Jehovah's Son was brought forth from the Father, as it is stated by His Son in Proverbs 8:24 "When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no springs heavy with water." Also, the authority that Christ has, was given to Him by His Father, clearly indicating that it was not His because He was not the Creator, "As You gave to Him authority over all flesh, so that to all which You gave to Him, He may give to them Eternal life." (John 17:2). Therefore, the Son of God, possessing the same powers and abilities as the Father, would Jehovah even consider working through His Son, instead of simply requesting His Son to create the heaven and the earth? Working "through" someone indicates that they lack the ability, as Jesus works through us to do His will, only because we lack the abilities needed; God's only-begotten Son did not lack these abilities, but according to Proverbs 8, He did lack the training, as it says in John 8:28 (quoted earlier). Should we even consider ignoring such compelling Biblical evidence of a hundred plus verses, by discarding the many word of God, His Son, His prophets and the Bible writers, which was given to us by inspiration from His only-begotten Son? Christ having equal power, would there be a reason or need to work "through" His Son? We, having the same power as our neighbor, can we work though anyone? We can only ask, trick or force them to do what we desire them to do, but we cannot cause them to do anything, without their knowledge of us working through them, nor can we accomplish any task "through" another human. Jehovah and His Son Jesus can and does work "through" us because They posses the power to do so; we cannot even stop their will, nor should we ever desire this. One needs to read ALL of God's word and read it the way it was originally written, with God's name, "Jehovah", all 6747 times.
