The Way
Jesus Christ stated that He is the Way “I am the Way, and the Truth, and the
Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6). From this simple
and direct statement, it states that Jesus is our only connection to the Father,
because we have been separated from God because of our transgressions, and Jesus
has provided a way for us to reach the Kingdom of God. Christ, being the Word of
God (John 1:1 and 19:13) He does provide for all the "way" by His instructions, giving
all the way to exit from our current existence in sin, by providing for us "God's
word" through inspiration to all the writers of the Bible, the one and only Book,
with sufficient instructions for arriving at the gate to God's kingdom. God Jehovah
is the Father of the "Son of God" and the Father of all mankind “And Jehovah God
formed the man out of dust from the ground and blew into his nostrils the breath
of life; and man became a living soul.” (Genesis 2:7).
Both God Jehovah and His Son Jesus are of the same purpose and same mind, since
both are of the same substance, both perfect because Jesus is the only-begotten Son
of the Father, “…And we beheld His glory, glory as of the only-begotten from the
Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14). Jesus states that He has the truth,
just as the Father, and He asks us to also be perfect, "Therefore you be perfect,
even as your Father in Heaven is perfect.” (Matthew 5:48), the Son is perfected with
the same godly qualities that He inherited from His Father. He knows the truth, which
was established at creation because He was learning while being with His Father during
God's establishment of this system of reality and setting all thing in motion, "Before
the mountains were settled; before the hill, I was brought forth; before He had made
the earth, and the fields, or the highest part of the dust of the world. When He
prepared the heavens, I was there. When He set a circle on the face of the deep;
when He set the clouds above; when He made the strong fountains of the deep; when
He gave the sea its limit, that the waters should not go beyond His command; when
He decreed the foundations of the earth; then I was at His side. like "one brought
up" (KJV); and I was His delight day by day, rejoicing before Him at every time;
rejoicing in the world, His earth; and My delights were with the sons of men." (Proverbs
8:25-31). I used the KJV translation "one brought up" because the JP Green translation,
which I generally use was incorrect, according to Strong's dictionary section for
#525. Jesus was with His Father at creation, but it is only stated that Jehovah's
Son was with the Father during creation. Although there is a verse that is used to
show that His Son was involved in the creation process, “And God said, Let Us make
man in Our image, according to Our likeness…” (Genesis 1:26). If we look at the original
Hebrew text one can see that there are three adjustment made by the translator to
promote that Michael (Jesus) had a part in the process. First, Strong's #6213, only
expresses to make, "let Us" was added by the translators. Strong's #6754 is similar,
an "image" is all that is given "in Our" was added by the translator, and #1823 "a
likeness" was the meaning given. The translators added "according to Our", but according
to the Strong's dictionary. "Us" and "Our" were added by the translator's decisions.
The verse should be translated, "And God said, I will make man to an image according
to My likeness" or something similar. To further prove this point, "And Jehovah God
formed man out of the dust from the ground, and blew into his nostrils the breath
of life; and man became a living soul." (Genesis 2:7), nothing was mentioned about
sharing this process with His Son. Therefore, it would be our choice what to believe
or discard since the translators have no more Biblical information or authority then
we do. I suggest that you confirm this for yourself from the Hebrew text.
Jesus declares that He is the “truth” and John says, “And the Word became flesh
and tabernacle among us. And we beheld His glory, glory as of an only-begotten from
the Father, full of grace and of truth.” (John 1:14), Christ came bearing the truth
from the Father, “Sanctify them in Your truth; Your word is truth. As You sent Me
into the world, I also sent them into the world.” (John 17:17,18) and the book Christ
inspired and gave to us through His writers is the truth He inherited. Christ also
said, “…For this purpose I have been born, and for this purpose I have come into
the world: that I might witness to the truth.” (John 18:37). "Born" referring to
His birth from Mary, His earthly mother, then having become the Son of man.
Third on that list in John 14:6 is “...Christ is the life...” Christ isn't the
life-giver at creation, this is credited to Jehovah, His Father, in Genesis 2:7 (displayed
in my first paragraph), but His act of sacrifice on the cross, makes it possible
for us to have the life we were designed to have, once we are ready to be in God's
presence. Jesus became the perfect sacrifice as the "Lamb of God". His sacrifice
on the cross makes an eternal life available to us, having paid the full price for
our repented sins. This is how Jesus is the "life" that we can receive, only because
of Christ's sacrifice on the cross, the next life is now available to all for an
eternity in Jehovah's kingdom. Where we will then have direct communication with
God, Jehovah and His Son, the Christ, plus the Heavenly angels.
The 'Word of God", Jesus, reveals to us the “Way” home, described as the narrow
and treacherous path, "For narrow is the gate, and constricted is the way that leads
into life, and few are the ones who find it." (Matthew 7:14), defined in the pages
of God's book, the Bible. Christ's earthly walk is how we are to follow our Sheppard,
by the testimonies He gave us from His Father, the example He showed us during His
first advent, walking perfectly according to our Father's Commandments. It should
be obvious now that it is most important to read this entire Book that Christ gave
us, as a map to the Kingdom of God; a treasure map for sure. Jesus isn’t physically
with us, but He is with us in spirit and words, so the only way to follow Him to
our new home is to study His map of words, the "Way" to the Father. Following someone
else, the many writers that claim to explain the Bible, and speakers that profess
to be following Christ, but even though they may assure us, and believe it themselves,
that they know the way, this is not guaranteed. By the act of reading all the words
that Christ gave us, for this purpose, He will supply us with correct understanding
that we so desperately need. The more we read from His Book, the more understanding
He will share with us, He is waiting for this opportunity, if we would only open
the door, the cover of this Book and consume every word “…but man shall not live
by bread alone, but man shall live by EVERY word that proceeds from the mouth of
Jehovah.” (Deuteronomy 8:3).
The journey home "the Way" is a long spiritual, educational, and maturing way;
a character building trip and it may not be an easy one, but trusting in Jesus, who
said, "For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light." (Matthew 11:30), we will succeed
and it will be a worthy and rewarding and a joyful journey, because learning, realizing
and knowing the truth is a most uplifting, awakening experience. We were designed
for this next life and it’s ours for the taking, made possible by the act of Christ
at the cross and the salvation of God Jehovah, both desires for each one of us to
enter. An exclusive opportunity we can't pass up and the timing is now, the "Way"
is through His Christ, Jesus, to God Jehovah's kingdom, for an eternity and an experience
we have no ability to imagine.
